ACCESSING HEAVEN'S TREASURY

Deuteronomy 28:12 states, "The Lord shall open to you His good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain of your land in it's season and bless the work of your hand." I want to focus on the word treasury.  When I think about the word, what usually comes to mind is the US treasury, the treasury department or a government treasury. The word treasury means an office for keeping and distributing funds. When the word is used in biblical context, it often denotes the treasury of the temple where gold, silver and gifts were kept. I want believers to understand that heaven has a treasury and we have access to it. When the Lord revealed this to me it blow me away. I have read Deut. 28 for years but never grasp verse 12 like I have now. Now that we know we have access, how do we make withdrawals when we need.
1. Obey His Word-Verse 1 gives us the answer by saying, to be watchful to do all His commandments which I command you this day. Obedience to His voice and His commands are the key. Isaiah 1:19 says "If ye be willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land."
2. Use your faith-Most people believe that faith is only their belief in God. But we have another kind of faith that obtains things from the supernatural to the natural. Hebrew 11:1 says faith is an assurance or title deed to things we hope for;faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses. Before we break that down, I want to focus on things. What does things means to you? Things means things. Whatever you need or desire. Jesus said whatsoever things you ask in prayer believe you receive and you shall have them. Faith is the key to open the door to the treasuries of heaven and access the things we need here on earth to fulfill His covenant. Faith always gets His attention. Hebrews 11:6 says without faith it is impossible to please God. We must start using our faith concerning our needs and desires.
3. Make deposits-We have to make deposits in our heavenly account to make withdrawals. You can not make a withdrawal from your bank account without having made any deposits. The bible says give and it shall be give unto you. Proverbs 3:9,10 says, "Honor the Lord with your capital and with the firstfruits of your income and so shall your storage places and vats shall overflow with new wine."  We have to become BIG givers to receive a BIG harvest. Whatsoever you sow that shall you reap. Are you making any deposits?

ONLY BELIEVE!

Mark 9:14-29 records an interesting account of Jesus, the disciples, a father and his son with the deaf & dumb spirit. This boy had a spirit since he was a child. He asked the disciples to cast it out of him but they could not. They were not able to because they were faithless. They depended on Jesus' power instead of the power he had given them before He sent them out (Luke 9:1-6). Jesus asked them "How long shall I be with you?" I believe Jesus wanted them to use their own faith to deal with this situation. It's not going to be His faith alone, but the two faiths working together to bring forth the result.  Faith unleashes the power of God (Eph. 1:19) and we have that power unto us. In verse 22 the boy's father asked, "Jesus if you can do anything?" Jesus said "Why do you ask if I can do anything? All things are possible to him who believes. You can do anything if you have faith in God (Matt. 21:22).  Believe in what, you say?  In His Word and His will.  Romans 1:17 says that the just shall live by faith.  So my brothers and sisters begin to believe the impossible.  Dare to step out on the Word of God.  I challenge you to use your faith like never before. Believe God for your healing, unsaved family, and increase in your finances.  There is nothing impossible with God.  All the impossibility is with us when we measure God by the limitations of our unbelief.  ONLY BELIEVE!

IGNITED BY THE SPIRIT- A study of the Holy Spirit

John 14:16 & 17, “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever- The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you [AMPLIFIED VERSION].

The Old Testament Hebrew word Ruwach which means WIND (Genesis 1:2); The New Testament Greek word Pueuma which means BREATHE or BREEZE (Acts 2:2).

Most Christians today understand Jesus the Son and God the Father as two very distinct Persons within the Godhead; however, there has been much confusion over the identity of the Holy Spirit. Many people throughout the ages have thought of the Holy Spirit more as a thing than a Person.  The Holy Spirit is a Person not a thing or a feeling; He is the third Person of the Godhead (1 John 5:7). As we get to know the Person of the Holy Spirit we will want to have a closer relationship with Him just as we would the Father or Son.

Jesus left the Holy Spirit here on the earth to comfort and help us. His assignment was completed and He was no longer going to be on earth to show His disciples the ways of God.  Jesus is now at the right hand of God, so He left the Holy Spirit to help us fulfill the great commission and our purpose on this earth.  The New Testament church began with the Holy Spirit and He is still in operation on the earth today. He is just as active today as He was in Acts.

What does the Holy Spirit do?
  • The Holy Spirit is our Comforter (John ).
  • The Holy Spirit is our Helper (John ).
  • The Holy Spirit is our Teacher (John ).
  • The Holy Spirit is our Intercessor (Romans & 27).
  • The Holy Spirit reveals Truth to us (John ).
  • The Holy Spirit convicts us of our sins (John 16:8).
  • The Holy Spirit is our power source (Acts 1:8).

  • The Holy Spirit has knowledge. 1 Corinthians even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
  • The Holy Spirit has emotions. Ephesians And grieve (to make sad or sorrowful) not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
  • The Holy Spirit has His own will and He makes decisions.  Acts 16:6 Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia,
  • The Holy Spirit loves. Romans 15:30, Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;
